A Simple Pan Tilt Zoom Camera System

There are many religious organizations incorporating simple Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) camera system into their churches, sanctuaries, temples or where ever a religious service are held. This type of system is also great for remote viewing or closed circuit broadcasting.

The most important component of a PTZ system is the PTZ camera. The most widely used are the Sony EVI-D70 and EVI-D100 and the Canon VC-C50i. There is a new high definition pan tilt zoom (PTZ) camera by Sony, EVI-HD1 A system can be set-up with relative easy and doesn't always require an integrator. The other elements include cabling, controllers, wall mounts, ceiling mounts, Digital Video Recorders (DVR) and if incorporating with a PC a framegrabber.
Here are a few steps in setting up a simple system.

1. Start with a small system first. 2. Visit facilities that already have Pan Tilt Zoom camera systems in place. 2. Draw out your plan. 3. Make a materials/product list. 4. Work with a relieable dealer/distributor. 5. Work with the equipment before you install it. Make sure it all works. 6. Install. 7. Add additional equipment if needed.
